Disappointed with the performance. I bought the 66BHP Fully Synthetic Chain Lube because of its claims of being HIGHLY RESISTANT TO WATER AND MOISTURE and LASTING UP TO AROUND 700 KM. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been quite disappointing.
I’ve used it twice on my bike.
The first time, I properly cleaned the chain, dried it completely, and applied the lube exactly as instructed. I then went for a ride in the rain. After just that one ride, the chain was almost completely dry, and it looked like most of the lube had been washed off.
I thought maybe the rain was the reason, so I gave it another try. This time, I didn’t ride in the rain at all. I simply reapplied the lube as instructed, making sure the chain had good coverage. I rode for only about 60–70 km over two days, entirely in dry conditions. Even then, the chain was already dry to the touch and had started making noise again.
I understand that the actual lifespan of a chain lube can vary depending on riding conditions, but getting only around 60–70 km in completely dry conditions seems very far from the advertised LASTING UP TO AROUND 700 KM, especially when the product is also advertised as HIGHLY RESISTANT TO WATER AND MOISTURE.
I’m not expecting it to last exactly 700 km, but I did expect considerably better durability than this.
Just sharing my honest experience. I’d appreciate it if someone could clarify whether this is normal performance for this product or if there could be an issue with the particular bottle I received.
