Description
The 2025 KTM 390 SMC R is a sharp, lightweight supermoto built for agility and fun, powered by a 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing around 44–46 hp and 39 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, slip/assist clutch, and an optional quickshifter for faster shifts. Bosch ride-by-wire electronics offer Street and Sport riding modes, traction control that can be switched off, and a mode memory function to retain settings. The chassis uses a steel trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe and an aluminum swingarm, paired with fully adjustable WP APEX suspension—a 43 mm USD fork and a rear shock, both with 230 mm of travel—for precise handling on twisty roads and urban environments.
Rolling on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Power 6 tires, the 390 SMC R features ByBre brakes with a 320 mm front disc, 240 mm rear disc, and Bosch dual-channel ABS with Road, Supermoto, and Supermoto+ modes for controlled slides. A 4.2-inch TFT display with KTMconnect supports navigation, music, and calls, while the full LED lighting ensures modern visibility. With an 860 mm seat height, 160 kg curb weight, adjustable controls, and a compact 9 L metal fuel tank, it blends everyday usability with pure supermoto thrill. Priced at around $5,499 in the U.S., it delivers KTM’s racing DNA in a more accessible, street-ready package.
