Description
The KTM 390 Adventure is KTM’s middleweight adventure motorcycle, designed to offer a balance between off-road capability and on-road touring comfort. It is powered by a revised 398.63cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder BS6 engine producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and quick shifter. Weighing 183 kg with a 14.5-litre fuel tank, it features dual disc brakes with ABS, ensuring solid braking performance both on and off-road. This latest model has received major updates over its predecessor, making it a more hardcore ADV. It now sports a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheel setup for better off-road handling, replacing the previous 19-17 alloy wheels. Suspension duties are handled by WP Apex USD forks with 200mm travel and full adjustability, and a rear monoshock with 205mm travel and adjustable rebound and preload. Braking is managed by a 320mm front disc with a radially mounted caliper and a 240mm rear disc.
Practicality has also improved, with a slightly lower seat height of 830mm and increased ground clearance to 227mm. The design has been reshaped to resemble KTM’s larger adventure bikes, giving it a more rugged presence. Technology upgrades include cruise control, switchable cornering traction control, cornering ABS, off-road ABS, and three riding modes—Street, Rain, and Off-road—all displayed on a new five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. This makes the 390 Adventure not only more capable off-road but also a more feature-rich tourer.
