Hero Xoom 160 Launched at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 – Hero’s First Adventure Maxi-Scooter

Hero MotoCorp has officially entered the maxi-scooter segment with the launch of the Xoom 160 at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, following its global debut at EICMA 2023. The Xoom 160 is designed with an adventure-oriented maxi-scooter theme, featuring a muscular body, central spine, and tall stance, setting it apart from traditional scooters. The front end is aggressive and sharp, boasting a split LED headlight setup, topped by a transparent visor for improved wind deflection. The overall ADV-inspired design is further accentuated by a large floorboard, sculpted panels, and a single-piece seat, ensuring both comfort and a commanding road presence.

Powering the Hero Xoom 160 is a 156cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. This setup delivers 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, making it one of the most powerful scooters in its category. The liquid cooling system ensures optimal engine performance and efficiency, especially in urban and highway riding conditions.

The Xoom 160 is feature-packed, incorporating full LED illumination, a digital instrument console, remote key ignition, and a smart key system for keyless access. The digital console provides real-time riding information, including speed, trip details, fuel level, and service indicators. The inclusion of USB charging ensures riders can charge their devices on the go.

With a weight of 142 kg, the Xoom 160 is built to offer a stable yet agile ride, while the 7-litre fuel tank provides a decent range for city commutes and occasional highway runs. Positioned as a premium adventure maxi-scooter, the Hero Xoom 160 aims to compete with other high-performance scooters, offering a blend of power, practicality, and adventure-ready features.
