New Bajaj Pulsar N160 Hits Nepalese Market with USD Front Forks, Priced at NPR 4,14,900
Bajaj has officially launched the upgraded variant of the Pulsar N160 in Nepal, priced at NPR 4,14,900. This updated model brings significant enhancements in both hardware and features, most notably the inclusion of upside-down (USD) front forks and three selectable ABS modes, which are rare at this price point. The Pulsar N160 continues to retain its naked streetfighter styling, but the upgraded variant sets itself apart with golden-colored USD forks, giving it a more premium and aggressive stance.
The design of the Pulsar N160 is highlighted by its centre-set Bi-directional projector LED headlamp, flanked by LED DRLs that enhance visibility and visual appeal. The new model is offered in two variants – the standard trim which continues with telescopic front forks, and the top-spec variant that gets the more sophisticated USD front forks. This new suspension setup not only improves front-end feedback but also elevates the motorcycle’s handling and aesthetics.
At its heart, the Pulsar N160 is powered by a 164.82cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This motor delivers 15.7 bhp of peak power and 14.65 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is tuned for a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for both urban commuting and occasional highway runs. It shares its chassis with the Pulsar 250, offering a strong and stable platform. While the base model continues with conventional forks, the updated variant benefits from the USD fork and monoshock combo, enhancing ride quality.
In terms of braking, the Pulsar N160 is equipped with disc brakes at both ends, and offers both single-channel and dual-channel ABS depending on the variant. The newly launched USD fork variant features three ABS modes – Road, Rain, and Off-Road – allowing riders to adapt braking performance to different riding conditions. This feature is usually seen on higher-end bikes, making it a standout inclusion in this segment.

The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels and tips the scales at 152 kg, giving it a manageable weight for city use. It also features a 14-litre fuel tank, which provides a decent range for daily rides and short tours. On the tech and convenience front, Bajaj has equipped the base model with a semi-digital instrument cluster and USB charging port. However, the USD fork variant steps it up with a fully digital console that includes smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts, battery level monitoring, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Overall, the upgraded Bajaj Pulsar N160 brings a lot to the table for riders in Nepal looking for a stylish, feature-rich, and capable 160cc motorcycle. With enhanced suspension, digital tech, and selectable ABS modes, it sets a new benchmark in its category.
