The KTM Track Test Experience at the Advanced Riding Academy in Bhaktapur on October 25th and 26th is an adrenaline-packed event designed for KTM enthusiasts and motorcycle lovers to experience high-performance riding. Attendees will get exclusive access to KTM’s most powerful bikes, including models like the KTM 200, 250, 390 Duke and KTM RC 200. Providing a chance to explore their full potential on a dedicated track.
Riders will participate in skill-building sessions led by professional racers, who will offer personalized coaching on advanced riding techniques, cornering, braking, and handling. These lessons are tailored to help participants sharpen their track skills and improve their overall riding precision.
1. Safety Briefing & Introduction
The event kicks off with a mandatory safety briefing, where participants will be introduced to the KTM motorcycles, covering their key features, performance characteristics, and handling specifics. Riders will also be informed about the track layout, safety protocols, and important riding techniques, particularly for track riding. This session ensures that participants understand the technicalities of riding on a closed circuit, emphasizing safety and control.
2. Performance Evaluation
During the event, instructors will provide individual feedback to each rider, focusing on their performance and riding technique. The aim is to help participants build confidence, improve their track skills, and refine essential techniques like body positioning, throttle control, and cornering. This personalized coaching will cater to riders of different experience levels, ensuring that each participant gains valuable insights into how they can enhance their riding abilities.
3. Track Test Experience
Participants will then get the opportunity to take their KTM motorcycles (or the KTM test bikes provided) onto the track. Under the guidance of expert instructors, riders will practice critical skills such as cornering, braking, acceleration, and handling. These track sessions are designed to push the limits of both rider and machine, offering a controlled environment where riders can truly explore the capabilities of KTM motorcycles.
- Riders can either use their own KTM motorcycles or choose from a range of KTM test bikes.
- It’s important to note that reckless or dangerous riding will not be tolerated. Riders exhibiting unsafe behavior will be disqualified and removed from the event, ensuring a safe experience for everyone involved.
4. Hot Lap Challenge
This exciting competitive segment allows participants to race against the clock and test their skills.
- Entry Fees: KTM owners can enter for free, while non-KTM owners need to pay a nominal fee of NRs. 500 to participate.
- Eligibility: Participants can either use the bikes provided by KTM or their own KTM motorcycles in the 200-250cc range.
- Laps: Each rider will get a total of six laps—three laps for practice and three laps for recording times. The fastest recorded lap from each participant will be considered for the final results.Prizes:
- Women’s Category: The top rider will receive special gift hampers.
- Amateur Category:
- 1st Prize: NRs. 10,000 and gift hampers
- 2nd Prize: NRs. 7,000 and gift hampers
